about
The story of someone stranded on Earth. I played this during live shows for quite a while before it went into a dormant stage. It was high time to revive it and here it is in full length including the verse that was usually omitted.
lyrics
The Orphan Alien
A day has passed, their work is done
a long long night has just begun
While they make their funny sounds
a smell comes up from underground
All those lights, all those bells
I step aside, I don't feel well
This is fun, but not for me
They give me drinks, they let me be
Your eyes are pretty, the sun is golden
the sky is turquoise, and that is all I know
Like an orphan alien
I forgot where I came from
can't remember where I was told to go
Sometimes they listen, they are so kind
I'm acting strange but they don't mind
I spend all day sitting on a fence
The words I speak do not make sense
They treat me nice, they share the wine
They let me walk between the lines
They show me games, they let me play
They touch my head, they let me stay
......
So many roads leading nowhere
millions of eyes that can only stare
Don't look at me, I'm sitting still
I never move, I never will
There's a pain in my bones
I am sick and I don't know home
I think I'm safe but I'm not sure
I don't count the years that I endure
Your eyes are pretty, the sun is golden
the sky is turquoise, and that is all I know
like a shipwrecked envoy
I forgot where I came from
can't remember where I was told to go
I can only mimic, I can't be real
what's in my heart I can't reveal
I talk to you, you talk to me
If only I had a memory...
Your eyes remind me of a dream
I used to dream, but the lights are dim
The accident... the erasure... ( the average...)
This endless time...
Come, fill my glass up to the brim
