A Word About Design

Talking about our ancestors
strange things I hear people say:
We were made by some genius maker
and nothing ever happenend
after the seventh day

You say evolution's just a theory
a theory you cannot prove
I say at least it's a theory
not some weird fantasy on the loose

If it had been intelligent design
what about the likes of you?
To build creatures like that
is something I'm sure God would never do

You go around agitating
trying to ban science from schools
Instead of educating your children
you want to turn them
into obedient little fools

There's nothing wrong with your belief
It just takes a little will and compliance
but remember this one little thing:
don't mistake religion for science

If it had been intelligent design
what about the likes of you?
To build creatures like that
is something I'm sure God would never do

There are true believers all around the world
and self-ordained preachers on the make
On joint account with God
they're telling lies
and they're selling them without a break

If it had been intelligent design
what about the likes of you?
To build creatures like that
is something I'm sure God would never do
