about
All there was were some words scribbled in my notebook. Eventually I sat down and fiddled about on the guitar until I had a chord progression that suited the atmosphere and that I could sing along to. Just before recording, I found appropriate words to complete the lyrics. The story is flexible enough to bow to your interpretation. I always like to think of a partisan couple in their mediterranean hide-out.
lyrics
Crystal Blue Light
There is nothing but sky
between sun and shore
Spectres drift by
dissolving while they soar
The stillness of time and space
drapes a cloak around your soul
Everything falls into place
with the glistening lights on the shoal
One of us must stay
in the silent zone
One of us must keep away
from broken bones
One of us must cross
the distance alone
Follow the wild cranes´ call
whatever you may happen to find
you can trade it all
for memories of quiet days
you had to leave behind
